Over our years both brand-side and agency-side, we’ve hired and worked alongside some amazing Project Managers. Today, we’ve developed our Project Management function here at Example so that we’re now helping clients as varied as Power Generation companies, Universities and Design Agencies to build out their PMO and find project management talent at every career stage.

We’ll be open. Finding Project Managers is the easy part. We don’t use job boards, we use our extended network to longlist candidates and then carefully assess and screen them before shortlisting them.

MINI CASE STUDIES

DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT - CONTRACT ROLE, M&A EXPERIENCE

We helped a major university find a project manager within just three days. Our job was to identify individuals who had experience in both the creative industries AND mergers & acquisitions. They needed someone who had faced down the challenge of integrating an acquisition, building out teams and working across functions to make the acquisition seamless. As with all contract roles, we had to move instantly, bringing multiple candidates to the table. The successful candidate remains with the university, leading on new projects and delivering them successfully.

JUNIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR - WITH INDUSTRIAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE

We have been working with a leading design agency who were looking for the next generation of project management. They had been advertising and received a lot of interest, not all of it relevant. Our task was to find people who had both an initial grounding in project management, as well as a grounding in industrial design. As you might expect, this was a very limited talent pool, especially as the successful candidate would have to come into the London office. We identified four budding project coordinators with both the experience and the background, with one in particular standing out above all.

PROJECT MANAGER x 2 - HIGH VOLTAGE EXPERIENCE & SITE WORK EXPERIENCE

We were asked to find two project managers in different locations for similar roles - handling a variety of projects on-site for a power generation company. We needed to find people with specific qualifications, engineering backgrounds and experience in High Voltage or Civil Engineering industries. They also needed to prove that they’d been working on-site and managing different relationships. Instead of using job ads, we turned to our network and quickly identified individuals who had worked in similar environments, bringing them to our client and securing them quickly.
