ACCOUNT MANAGER - MUST HAVE BRANDING AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTY EXPERIENCE
We were tasked with finding an account manager who had commercial property experience as well as experience of working within a branding agency. In short, an account manager currently at a branding agency that focuses on commercial real estate. It’s a small pool, but we know every account handler within this space, and we know who’s open to a conversation and who’s not. In this case, we monitor the competition, look at new hires and projects, keep our research ‘live’, and hit the phones, talking to account handlers and marketing our client to them. We managed to find four outstanding account managers - and our client hired two!
ACCOUNT MANAGER - BUT MUST BE ABLE TO WRITE EXCELLENT COPY
Client services teams can be among the hardest to recruit for. When they move, they expect to move upwards, and their achievements can often be unseen. What’s more, every agency is looking for different qualities in their account handlers. One of our clients looks for account managers who have excellent copywriting skills, so we carried out a detailed search for those with evidence of writing skills, and along with the client, put those skills to the test, resulting in a highly revenue-focused account manager joining the business, with a solid portfolio of copywriting behind him.
SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - MUST HAVE B2B EXPERIENCE
Our client is based in rural Oxfordshire, and asked us to find a senior account executive who would be willing to come on-site occasionally. This helped widen the net a little, and we held discussions with impressive account execs from B2B marketing agencies around an extended radius of our client’s offices. The result? A top candidate was presented within 10 days of the brief being issued, and we managed to secure her the role she was looking for, giving our candidate a super talented and commercially savvy SAE.
